How to clean Internet Explorer browsing history

To clean Internet Explorer browsing history:
Select 'Tools' and then 'Delete Browsing History'.
Click 'Delete all', and then click 'Yes'.

How to clean specific category of Internet Explorer browsing history
To clean specific category of browsing history:
Select 'Tools' and then 'Delete Browsing History'.
Click 'Delete button' next to the information you want to delete, and then click 'Yes'.

Note: in Internet Explorer even if you clean browsing history history manually, index.dat files that store information which can show where you have been online still exist. This file can't be deleted manually as it is used by Windows all the time.

Open the "Content" tab.
Click the "AutoComplete" button.
Click the "Clear forms" button to erase search history.

To clean visited sites history in Internet Explorer 7.0:
Select "Tools".
Select "Internet Options".
Open the "General" tab.
In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
To delete list of web sites you have visited (delete Address bar history), click "Delete history" and then click Yes.
Click Close and then click OK.

To clean visited sites history in Internet Explorer 6.x:
Go to Tools and select Internet Options.
Open "General tab", click "Clear history".
Click "OK".

Note: Every time a web site places a cookie on your PC, Internet Explorer and MSN Explorer insert an entry in the cookies index.dat file that associates a web page with a cookie file. And even if you clean cookies manually, cookies index.dat file stores Internet surfing information - URLs with date/time stamps and pointers to cookie files.
Cookies index.dat file can't be deleted manually as it is used by Windows all the time.

How to clean Internet Explorer Form AutoComplete

To clean Form AutoComplete in Internet Explorer 7.0:
Select "Tools"
Select "Internet Options".
Open the "General" tab.
In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
In "Delete browsing history" window, to clear AutoComplete, click "Delete forms" button and then click "Yes".
