Address bar is a text box used to enter web sites address in browsers. Web browsers allow users to click the down arrow to view the recently visited pages. Internet Explorer Address Bar
Internet Explorer users can view Address Bar history by clicking the down arrow on the far right side of the Address Bar text box. To prevent others from seeing the history of web sites you have recently visited or searched for you should clean Address Bar history.

How to clean Address bar history in Internet Explorer
To clean Address bar history in Internet Explorer 7.0:
Select "Tools"
Select "Internet Options".
Open the "General" tab.
In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
To delete Address bar history, click "Delete history" and then click Yes.
Click Close and then click OK.
To clean Address bar history in Internet Explorer 6.x:
Go to Tools and select Internet Options.
Open "General tab", click "Clear history".
Click "OK".
Note: in Internet Explorer even if you clean Address bar history manually, history file (index.dat file) stores information which can show where you have been online. History index.dat can't be deleted manually as it is used by Windows all the time. Using Clear All History you can clean or delete index.dat file depending on your needs

How to clean Address bar history in Firefox 2.0:
Select "Tools"
Select "Options".
Select "Privacy".
In Private area click "Clear Now".
In "Clear Private Data" window put the check mark for "Browsing history" and click "Clear Private Data Now".
Click OK.
How to clean Address bar history in Firefox 1.x:
Select "Tools"
Select "Options".
Select "Privacy".
Open "History" tab and click "Clear Browsing history now".
Click OK.

How to clean Address bar history in Opera 9.x:
1. Open the Tools menu.
2. Select Delete private data
3. Click the "Details" button
4. Select "Clear history of visited links".
5. Click "Delete" button.
How to clean Address bar history in Opera 8.x
Go to "Edit" menu and select "Preferences".
Select "Navigator" under the "Category" listing.
Select "Clear History" in the "History" area.
Click "OK" to clean visited sites history.
