Saved Form data (Form AutoComplete)

When you enter information in web forms or the search bar in your browser, this information is saved so that your browser can give suggestions when you enter information in forms in the future. To stop this behavior, you should clean form data in your browser and configure your browser not to save forms information in future.
Form information and everything you type in web pages (e.g your name, e-mail address, credit card information, keywords you enter in search engines, etc) is stored in your browser because of feature called AutoComplete. AutoComplete helps the user complete the form by suggesting possible matches - you can simply press the down arrow key and select the text without finishing typing.

Why you should clean form data (Saved Form data)

How to clean form autocomplete in Internet Explorer

When you enter information in web forms or the search bar in Internet Explorer, that information is saved so that Internet Explorer can give suggestions when you enter information in forms in the future.
If you don't want Internet Explorer save form information you enter on web sites, you should disable form AutoComplete (turn off Form AutoComplete).

To disable Form Data AutoComplete in Internet Explorer 7.0:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "Content" tab.
• Under AutoComplete, click "Settings" button.
• In "AutoComplete Settings" window select what information your browser will remember - remove check marks from AutoComplete options you don't need (Web Address, Foms, User names and passwords on forms).
• Click OK.

To disable Form information AutoComplete in Internet Explorer 6.x:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "Content" tab.
• Click the "AutoComplete" button
• Remove check marks from the necessary check boxes.
• Click OK.

• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "General" tab.
• In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
• In "Delete browsing history" window, to clear AutoComplete, click "Delete forms" button and then click "Yes".

• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "Content" tab.
• Click the "AutoComplete" button.
• Click the "Clear forms" button to clear all AutoComplete form data and/or click the "Clear Passwords" to clear restored passwords.

Firefox saved form information

When you enter information in web forms or the search bar in Firefox, that information is saved so that Firefox can give suggestions when you enter information in forms in the future.

To stop storing forms data in Firefox 2.0:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Options".
• Select "Privacy".
• In History area remove the check mark for "Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar".
• Click OK.

To disable form AutoComplete in Firefox 1.x:
• Select "Tools" then "Internet Options".
• Select the "Privacy" tab.
• Open "Save form information" category.
• Remove the check mark from the "Save information I enter in web page forms and the Search Bar".
• Click OK.

Clean History How to clean form information in Firefox 2.0:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Options".
• Select "Privacy".
• In Private area click "Clear Now".
• In "Clear Private Data" window put the check mark for "Saved form and Search History" and click "Clear Private Data Now".
Clean History Note: You can configure Firefox clean form data when you close it. In this case you should click the 'Settings' button and select 'Saved Form information' option, click OK and then select 'Always clear my private data when I close Firefox'
• Click OK.

• Select "Privacy".
• Open "Saved Forms" tab and click "Clear Saved Form Data Now".
• Click OK.

If you don't want Firefox to save this data in the future, remove the check mark from the "Save information I enter in web page forms and the Search Bar".
